Here in Tucson the official high temperature at TUS yesterday was 105 F, apparently tying the record high for the date.
David Cristiani sent the following link to an Albuquerque NWS brief case study of an early morning heat burst at Clayton, New Mexico, last Tuesday, May 28th.

The graphic above is from that study and shows that winds gusted to over 80 mph during this event.
