Above is a surface plot for 4 pm MST from NCAR RAL. Very pronounced confluent flow east of Tucson, where cool, moist storm outflows are butting heads with upslope, dry heat from the Sonoran Desert. Will be interesting to watch to see if the WRF-GFS predicted outflow (see post below) actually materializes in an hour or two.
