Tropical Storm Sonia has developed over the eastern Pacific (the 18th named storm of the season). Current forecast for Sonia is shown above, from NHC. Tropical storm warnings are in effect for the west coast of Mexico at the southern end of the GoC. An IR image of Sonia is shown below from 5:30 am MST this morning.
