BL Heating Prevails
Obviously boundary layer heating and increasing PW have beaten back the hostile largeer-scale environment today - especially at higher elevations. Above is 2:00 pm MST radar, while below is impressive 6-hour CG flash density ending at 2:30 pm (from Weather.Graphics and Vaisala). Art Douglas, as well as the RAWS stations at Mt. Hopkins and Carr, reports nearly an inch of rain already this afternoon.
