Drought Continues

City lights of Arizona above at 6:00 am MST this morning - clear skies dominate the state once again. Down at bottom is unwrapped sky cam up on Mt. Lemmon - moon is in west and glow from rising sun is in the east.
The 06 UTC GEFS forecasts for the coming week indicate warming trend (above) through midweek (remember that the GEFS temperatures have about a 5 F cool biasis during clear sky conditions). The forecasts indicate only a slight chance for very light showers (below) around the end of the week. So not much to watch, as our dry period continues.

Finally, the winds finally died down late yesterday afternoon. Winds at the Mt. Hopkins RAWS station gusted over 50 mph nearly continuously from 3:00 am on Thursday until noontime on Friday - winds gusted over 70 mph a couple of times during that period.
