Full sky views from Mt. Lemmon Observatory - 6:05 pm MST last evening showing the Jupiter and Saturn conjunction (above); below is presunrise view this morning at 5:50 am.
Down at bottom is shot of Grand Targhee snow stick this morning - no new snow, but a bunch of new characters watching for flakes.The 500 mb analysis (above) this morning shows that the weak tail of the northwestern trough is over southern California. Ahead of this feature high and middle-level cloudiness is spreading over Arizona, As per the IR satellite image from 8:15 am below, and view of the Catalinas at about same time (second below).
The GEFS plumes from last night are now suggesting a chance of sprinkles for Christmas Eve - will take a closer look at that tomorrow.
