Clear Skies Again This Morning

Brilliant clear skies again this morning, and there appears to be little chance for precipitation here until some time next year. Early morning image from Mauna Lea (below) in Hawaii, appears to have captured a meteor streak.

Down at bottom are shots of the Grand Targhee snow stick near Jackson, Wyoming. First is yesterday after it was wiped and second is early this morning, showing more snow up there.

Plumes above from 06 UTC GEFS forecasts are for temperature this week, indicating another mild week on tap. Low at airport this morning has been 37 F but up here along the Rillito low was about 29 F - nearly 10 F colder. Several sites in Cochise County reported lows in the teens.

Plumes below are for 10-m winds, which are forecast to be quite light until early next week. So, Chamber of Commerce winter weather continues here in Tucson.

Below is GEFS forecast for 24-hour precipitation ending at 5:00 pm MST on Christmas, indicating a tranquil Christmas for most of the country.
