Crisp Morning After Yesterday's Rain

Crisp and clear here this morning after yesterday's 0.66" of much needed rain. Snow level was much lower on foothills yesterday afternoon.

The big snowstorm materialized in Colorado and Wyoming. Photos at bottom from top to bottom: downtown Boulder; view from son's house in Loveland, where there's about a foot and a half of heavy, wet snow (note the tree limb down); and at bottom pre-sunrise Casper, Wyoming.

The 500 mb low is centered over southeast Colorado at 12 UTC this morning (above). Note the 110 kt wind speed at Midland, Texas! We're now on back side of the system, and will have several more cool and dry days (06 UTC plumes for temperature at airport below). Forecast does indicate gradual warming from Wednesday into next weekend.
