Clear skies this morning over Tucson, with just a bit of haze and dust in the air. Contrast with the dirty air this morning in Denver (next to bottom). Down at bottom is sunrise at Castleton Tower (the center spire), which is near the Utah border east of Moab.
This morning's warm forecast (above) for the airport through Sunday. The record high for today is 95 F (occurred in 2017) and the average high is 75 F - so we're running about 10 F above normal as we approach the weekend.
Yesterday's verification of the morning outlook from SPC is below. Not nearly as active day as was Wednesday. The severe storms mostly avoided the enhanced and moderate risk areas that were outlooked - again emphasizing how difficult these forecasts can be.
