Miscellany
Skies are much cleaner this morning since the heavy dust moved off to the east and southeast late in the day yesterday. Dust may come back from the east Tuesday night as the early WRF-NAM forecasts very strong easterly winds developing and continuing into Wednesday morning. The 10-m wind forecast below is valid at 8 am MST on Wednesday, May 14th.
Two webcam views of a wintry morning along the Colorado Front Range. View above is from the Colorado State Atmospheric Science building (on the Foothills Engineering Campus) looking to the north-northwest toward Cheyenne Ridge. Below is Castle Rock, which is near I-25 between Denver and Colorado Springs.
