The early WRF forecast runs at Atmo today are similar to those of yesterday. The weather system that will cross southern Arizona Tuesday and Tuesday night remains very dry in the forecasts with the main weather elements being strong winds, several bands of high clouds, and considerably cooler temperatures during mid-week. Above graphic shows WRF-NAM forecast of 10-m winds valid at 2 pm MST May 6th. Graphic below shows the model forecast of PW valid at the same time - pretty dismal.
