Hurricane Dorian above (now a Cat 2 storm) is moving northward this morning, fairly far offshore.
The tropical Atlantic is quite active this week, with a hurricane and two tropical storms (above).
Plot above shows total precipitable water (PW) at 5:00 am MST this morning. West-southwest of southern end of Baja is PW associated with Cat. 2 hurricane Juliette. It appears that Juliette is tracking a bit far west to cause a major northward push of higher PW air up the GoC.
Below is satellite image of Lingling over in western Pacific. This typhoon is forecast to move northward and make landfall in a couple of days on the Korean Peninsula.
